Preparing a Proposal
All proposals must be typed on 8.5" x 11" paper. A disk containing the proposal file is preferred but not mandatory. Total size of the proposal must not exceed six pages using 12-point font with normal spacing. Six pages of attachments, such as photos, letters of commitment from community leaders, maps, and more may be included and must be labeled "Attachments."
Proposal Deadlines
For fall planting projects: July 1st
For spring planting projects: November 31st
Project and Proposal Assistance
The UFA is available to work with applicants to help them develop site-specific community-driven local projects. Numerous community groups located within the DC metro area are also willing to assist if needed. The UFA encourages existing groups operating in the DC area to forge partnerships and pool resources.
